Came in yesterday for usual maintence. Service writer Dan was cordial and reviewed the “to do’ List. I find the list helpful and they always tell me what can wait and what needs to be done soon. they give me an estimate then i can schedule the work when i can. The food from the food drive is piling up. THANKS DAN AND WAYNE!!!

If you own a Honda (Wayne’s specialty) or any other foreign vehicle, you should stop by this shop for friendly and honest service. He’s on Silver Spring in Providence (right next to the AAA center). I’ve been a loyal customer for a couple years now and I’m never disappointed. I always see AAA associates there so that must be a good sign. As opposed to other shops, if there is nothing wrong with your car, he won’t recommend additional unnecessary service. He offers complimentary services (snow tire and roof rack mounting) that other shops would charge for. His prices are fair and his check-ups are included with any service that you purchase (including oil changes). Check out his website for free online coupons.

Wayne is a sweetheart. I had bumped the front of my car, causing the front bumper to protrude. He looked at it right away, popped it back in, and despite my asking how I could repay him, simply said that I didn’t owe him anything, and that I could come by for my next service call. They don’t do bodywork, but I imagine the other services might be just as honest and good.

If you are looking for an honest mechanic shop. This is the place. Especially being a woman, many car shops tend to take advantage of us. This shop however, is honest and down to earth. The owner personally drove my car for a pre-purchase inspection. While waiting, I ended up speaking to another woman who had been coming to Wayne’s for a while. Her rave reviews of this place gave me confidence that I will not be looking for another mechanic.

Wayne’s Service Plus is now becoming the only place I will bring my car for repairs. Wayne and his daughter run a no-nonsense type of place. They tell you whats wrong and do a great job fixing it… there are no pushy sales pitches and they won’t rip you off!! I am done with all those big dealerships that lie about the services you need and charge insane labor costs!! Thank you Wayne’s for being an honest and friendly business in a very tough industry. I will refer all of my friends for sure!

This is the best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. First of all, they could clearly tell I knew nothing about cars but didn’t try to gouge me, and they explain things to you very clearly, in non-mechanic terms, when you don’t understand them.

Beyond that though, I brought in my car when a check engine light came on, and they said, “Oh, we’ll just have a look.” And they had an entire check of my car done in 20 minutes, and came back and told me that I had to check my emissions, but I could get that done in a while, and I had to go to a dealership. I went to pay and they refused to accept money because they insisted that they didn’t do anything.

They’re also very polite, and there’s one quiet TV playing in the corner, so if you need to get work done or read, you can do that too.

We have been using Wayne’s Service for about 12 years and have not had any problems with them. Their personnel and quality of work are very good, and Wayne always treats us well. His shop is the only one I have ever worked with that actually goes the extra mile if they diagnose something incorrectly the first time. They will go back and take out the parts they installed and continue to diagnose the car until they figure out the problem.

Wayne’s Service has done both major repair and maintenance work for us on 2 Hondas. I appreciate that they tell you what they are going to do before they do it and they call you with an estimate, then leave it up to you to decide what you want to do. There is little high-pressure selling at Wayne’s. Having worked in the auto industry for a number of years, I know how hard it is, and feel strongly about recommending Wayne’s to my family. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

great folks I love these guys. Reasonable rates and excellent work. They take them time to talk you through repairs, and you never feel like you are being subjected to a sell. I have more faith in them than I do the area Honda dealers. Even for things such as a muffler they came in lower than even the specialty shops and were completely dependable.

Wayne’s is a good, honorable, auto repair shop in the sea of untrustworthy, inept mechanics. It’s a small place (3 bays and a minuscule waiting area) but the staff are all very knowledgeable and do a great job of educating you about your car and what may (or may not) be wrong with it. When repairs are required, they tell you first, and then explain the price and how soon you should get the issues fixed. They also will mail you coupons for various routine services (oil change, tune-up).

Why do I think Wayne’s is a great place to take your car? Here’s a story to illustrate my point: I called Wayne’s to schedule an appointment to have my car’s alignment checked. Wayne asked me why I thought I needed that done. I told him that when I tried the “straight line” test on the highway, that the car was veering to the right. Wayne then said that yes, it could be an alignment problem, but that I could also just need some air in my tires. He told me to stop by at lunch time and he’d look at it. Sure enough, all I needed was air – which was completely free.

The labor prices at Wayne’s aren’t at a super discount, but it’s cheaper than a dealership. The only drawback is that they don’t offer evening or Saturday hours. However, if you work/live in Providence, they will provide you with a ride in the morning when you drop your car off.
